Answer is 6 only but can anyone tell me the method to solve it

  • even a boy must have atleast 2 brothers which means 3 boys are their similarly a girl must have atleast 2 sisters which means 3 girls are their question doesn't say that a boy can't have 3 sisters or a girl can't have 3 brothers it only say their must be atleast 2 sisters and 2 brothers for a child suppose their are only 2 boys then for anyone of them their will be only one brother but question demands of 2 brothers, so their must be 3 boys atleast similarly for the girls total 3 boys and 3 girls total children=3+3=6
