Still you can have the idea about the selection procedure implemented for the candidates. West Bengal Police Constable recruitment process involves 5 stages that a candidate is required to clear for the job. The five stages are:br /br /1. Preliminary Written Testbr /2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)br /3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)br /4. Final Written Exambr /5. Interviewbr /br /strong► Preliminary Exam:/strongbr /1. The candidates will have to appear for an offline Preliminary Written Test that would be of qualifying nature.br /2. The exam will have strong100 MCQs /strongto be attempted in 1 hour.br /strong3. /strongThe question paper will be bilingual: strongBengali & Nepali/strongbr /4. The section in the exam: threebr /br /• General Awareness and General Knowledge for 50 Marksbr /• Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard) for 30 Marksbr /• Reasoning for 20 Marksbr /br /5. Marking scheme: strong 1 mark/strong will be allotted for each strongcorrect answer. /strong0.25 marks will be deducted as astrong /strongpenalty for each wrong answer. br /br /strong► /strong strongPhysical Measurement Test (PMT):/strongbr /br /1. Candidates of all categories (except  Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and  Scheduled Tribes): Height 167 cms, Weight 57 kgs, Chest 78 – 83 cmsbr /2. Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: Height 160 cms, Weight 53 kgs, Chest 76 – 81 cmsbr /br /► strongPhysical Efficiency Test (PET):/strongbr /br /The candidates who will qualify prelims and PMT will appear for Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which will test the physical strength of the candidates, which consists of strong1600 (Sixteen hundred) meters run within 06 (six) minutes 30 (thirty) seconds.br /br /► Final Written Exam:/strongbr /br /1. The WB Police Constable Recruitment Final Written Exam will be Written Objective Type.br /2. The Exam Will be ofstrong 85 /strongQuestions to be attempted in 1 hour.br /3.
