MPSC Prelims Syllabus:
The exam is conducted in 3 stages:
Prelims
Mains and
Personal Interview
The prelims exam will have two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2
Paper I:
General Studies: Current affairs, History, Geography, Polity and governance, Economy, Social Development, Environment, Science.
Paper-II:
CSAT: (a) General mental ability, Basic numeracy
(b) LR (Logical reasoning) and analytical ability, Decision making and problem-solving
(c) English Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, etc.
Maharashtra PSC Mains Exam Syllabus
The mains exam for Maharashtra Public Service Commission will have 5 papers, General Studies 1-4, and a language exam. The detailed syllabus is here:

History of Modern India and Indian culture, Geography of India, Indian Polity, Current National Issues, International Affairs & Institutions, Indian Economy, Developments in the field of Science & Technology, Communication & Space, India and the World, Games & Sports, Indian Agriculture.
General Studies-II:
Public Services, The Constitution of India, Some Pertinent Laws, Administrative Law, The Media, The Political System, District Administration, Educational System, State Government and Administration, Control over Public Expenditure, Rural and Urban Local Government, Parties and Pressure Groups, The Electoral Process, Central and State Government Privileges, Social Welfare and Social Legislation.
General Studies Paper-III:
Human Rights, Human Resource Development.
General Studies-IV:
Science and technology developments, Economy and planning, Economics of Development and agriculture.
