RRB NTPC 1st Stage Computer Based Test: Syllabus
RRB NTPC Exam pattern suggests that it will have objective type questions in an online mode. The selection process involves four phases:
► 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
► 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
► Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable)
► Document Verification/Medical Examination.
The Stage 1 Exam will be for 90 minutes with 100 questions carrying 1 mark each. 0.33 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The syllabus of RRB NTPC 1st Stage Computer Based Test will have questions from

1. General Awareness:
Culture of India, Current Events of National and International Importance, Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India, UN and Other important World Organizations, Art and Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large, Basics of Computers and Computer Applications, Common Abbreviations, Famous Personalities of India and World, Flagship Government Programs, Flora and Fauna of India, Games and Sports, General Science and Life Science (up to 10th CBSE), General Scientific and Technological, Government and Public Sector Organizations of India
History of India and Freedom Struggle, Important Indian Economy, Indian Literature, Indian Polity and Governance- constitution and political system, Monuments and Places of India, Physical Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Transport Systems in India, etc.
2. General Intelligence and Reasoning:
Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Interpretation of Graphs, Mathematical Operations, Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Statement- Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, etc.
3. Mathematics:
Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Mensuration, Number System, Percentage, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss
Time and Work, etc.
