  • Eligibility criteria for AILET Exam:

    He/ she must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized institute. This will be considered as the qualifying examination for AILET 

    He/ she must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying examination.
    Those who belong to reserved categories also need to score a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying examination.

    Those appearing for class XII boards or equivalent in the month of March / April 2020 are also eligible for AILET 2020
    There is no upper age limit to appear for AILET.

    A candidate needs to qualify 10+2 with Senior Secondary System or equivalent examination from a recognized board
    Candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks in his/her qualifying degree
    There is no age bar to appear in AILET 2019 as per the Supreme Court’s stay on age bar in 2017.

    Qualification and Age bar for LLM-

    Candidates appearing in AILET 2019 to seek admission in the postgraduate law programmes need to take a glance at the eligibility criteria of AILET 2019 for LLM programme mentioned here -
    A candidates needs to possess a LLB degree from any recognized university recognized by Bar Council of India
    The law applicant should have scored at least 55 percent marks in the qualifying degree
    For the candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD), the university gives 5 percent relaxation and they need to score 50 percent in their qualifying degree
    There is no age bar to appear in AILET 2019 to seek admission into the postgraduate law programmes.

  • Those who are appearing for 10+2 examination will also be considered eligible for the NLU Delhi BA LLB applications, subjected to the fulfilment of minimum percentage as mentioned above. The applicants who are appearing in the final year of LL.B or equivalent law degree examination can be deemed fit for applying for LL.M programmes, provided they secure minimum percentage of marks as mentioned.

    B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)- Five-Year Programme:
    Eligibility: Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination in any discipline with 50% marks. Students appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2017 can also apply.
    Age: Applicants should be below 20 years as on 1 July 2018 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
    Class 12th appearing candidates are also allowed to apply for the exam. 
    LL.M. (One year):
    Eligibility: Aspirants should complete LL.B. or an equivalent degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). The candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2017 can also apply.
    Candidates appearing in final year exam of LL.B are also eligible to register for AILET 2018 exam. 
    Total Seats: 20 + 5 seats for Foreign Nationals
    Ph.D Programme:
    Eligibility: Applicants having LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability) are eligible for the examination.

  • AILET Eligibility Criteria 2018 – NLU Delhi has announced AILET 2018 eligibility criteria in the month of January. The eligibility criteria of AILET 2018 specifies the minimum requirement for admissions into undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The AILET eligibility criteria mention the pre-requisites regarding academic qualification and age for appearing in the NLU Delhi regulated law entrance test. Candidates are advised to check the AILET eligibility criteria before filling AILET 2018 application form. Candidates may note that those who apply for All India Law Entrance Test without meeting the eligibility criteria of AILET 2018 will be deemed to get their candidature cancelled at the time of NLU Delhi admisisons 2018, even if they qualify the law entrance examination.
