This is a "series" where the value of a number (after the first two given numbers) is the result of an operation involving the preceding two numbers. br /br /If you have br /a and b br /then br /c = 2a + b br /Example :br /Let's assume a=19, b=37.br /So, c = 2*19 + 37 = 75 br /which is the given next number. So, our theory is correct and now to calculate third number after 2 and 5.br /2*2 + 5 = 9 br /we now have br /2, 5, 9 br /We can also check it by assuming a =9 and b= 19 and then,br /c=2*9+19=18+19=37 which is the next term in the given series.br /strongHence, the missing number in the given series is found to be 9./strong
