FMS Exam Pattern, Insights and Details



FMS ( Faculty of management studies) is an online entrance exam for those candidates who are going to appear for MBA (2year) full-time course. Before appearing for FMS, candidates need to get register themselves for CAT (Common Aptitude Test) After qualifying the CAT they are eligible for FMS. The eligibility for FMS is that a candidate must hold a graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate in graduation & 45% for SC/ST students. The exam covers Topics broadly from the following subjects: Quantitative Aptitude covers Ratio & Proportion, averages, ages etc.  Data Interpretation - Generally covers topics Tables, Line graphs, pie-charts etc. The reasoning section generally covers Topics from logical & analytical reasoning, English comprising of Grammer & reading comprehension. The last date for applying to FMS is 25 Nov-2019 with registration fees of Rs.1000 and others who fall under SC, ST and PWD categories had to pay Rs. 350

The FMS (Faculty of Management Studies) CAT is one of the most awaited entrance tests for management aspirants.The candidates need to outperform others to secure a spot in the shortlist for the Written test, GD (Group Discussion) and finally PI (Personal Interview) process.

Data Interpretation : Tables , column graphs , line charts , bar graphs , pie chart , venn diagram , caselets. All the data is given in this form.

Logical Reasoning : Number and letter series , clocks , calendars , cubes , venn diagrams , binary logic , seating arrangement , logical sequence , logical matching , logical connectives , syllogism , blood relations.
Verbal ability : Synonyms , antonyms , English usage , grammar , sentence correction , fill in the blanks , cloze passage , analogies , reverse analogies , jumbled paragraph , summary questions , verbal reasoning , facts , inferences , judgement , reading comprehension , idioms , phrases , use of articles , prepositions

Preparation Tips for FMS 2020
 
·         You need to finish all sections of FMS 2020, which means you need speed with accuracy in order to attempt questions. The more you practice, the better chances you have of acing this exam.
 
·         Make Maths and reasoning section your strong suit, practise questions to solve them within time to increase efficiency.
 
·         Remember negative marking is a factor here. Therefore, try not to attempt those questions for which you are not confident.
