The ITI, Industrial Training Institutes and Industrial Training Centers are post-secondary schools in India provides diploma courses in various disciplines and constituted under Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Union Government. It provides training in various forms of trades by alloting the positions as Electrician, Fitter, Wireman, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Electronic Mechanic, Turner, Machinist, Draughtsman Mechanical, Machinist Grinder, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Tool And Die Maker - Press Tools Jigs and Fixtures, Tool And Die Maker - Dies And Moulds, Mechanic Agricultural Machinery, Plumber, Draftsman Civil. Any 10th or 12th standard passed candidate can apply for the diploma course in any one of the government as well as a private institute. The duration of the course is 2 to 3 years and placement is provided at the time of final year itself. Group C defines the type of academics and to qualify for the exams, you need to keep an update of ITI Trade Exams.

Age Limit

  • The minimum age limit to apply for the exam is 14 years and the maximum is 40 years. 
  • Age Relaxation:
    • 45 years in case of ex-servicemen 45 years in case of war widows
    • Widows/separated women would be allowed to join various training programmers under C.T.S. up to the age of 35 years
  • The upper age limit for physically handicapped candidates is relaxed by 10 years and kept as 35 years as on the date of admission.
