Manipal University is one of the top Universities in India. It started to operate in 1956 and now the university has so many branches in Sikkim, Jaipur, Dubai, Malaysia, Banglore, Antigua, Mangalore where students from 57 countries are pursuing Higher education. The admission in the University is through Online Entrance Exam known as MU-OET. University provides many under-graduate courses including Engineering. Online Entrance Test for the undergraduate Engineering program is provided at 3 institutes covered under Manipal University: Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim Manipal University, and Manipal University Jaipur.



The duration for the test is 2 hours and 30 minutes with a total number of 200 Questions divided into 4 sections( Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, English & General Aptitude). University offers 16 Engineering Programs.

Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Understanding the competition in MUOET Exam
 

MU-OET is one of the Popular entrance examination for admission in Engineering programmes. The test is conducted by Manipal University and it is one of the most awaited entrance test for engineering aspirants. It is a fully objective type Computer-based Exam held in April every year conducted in 3 sessions. Manipal university provides seats to around 2160 B.tech seats. The university provides various UG engineering programs. Hence, in this context MU-OET aspirants are being tested not only for their quantitative skills and language skills but an added pressure of time & speed. MUOET exam helps the aspirants to take admissions into various institutes of Manipal University: Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal University Jaipur, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Admissions of the candidates will be based on All India rank of MU-OET.

Cutoff for MU-OET

Under Manipal University, three institutes take admissions for B.tech :
  • Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal
  • Sikkim Manipal institute of technology, Sikkim
  • Manipal University, Jaipur 

All the institutes provide different programmes for Engineering. Cut off is the Closing Rank of the candidate on the basis of marks scored in the test. 

The following factors will be considered to determine the Manipal Cut Off 2020:

  1. Total number of candidates appeared in the examination
  2. Total number of seats available in each programme
  3. The difficulty level of MET 2020
  4. Performance of the aspirants

Syllabus: MUOET Entrance Exam

Physics: Must have a full understanding of Dynamics, Heat, Physical Optics, Geometrical Optics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Atomic Physics.
Chemistry: Must have a full understanding of Stoichiometry, Atomic Structure, Periodic Properties, Oxidation numbers, Isomerism, Organic Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Haloalkanes, Chemical Kinetics’, Chemical Thermodynamics’ and Much more.
Mathematics: Must have a full understanding of Vectors, Circles, Trigonometry, Elements of Number Theory, Group Theory, Matrices and Determinants, Conic Sections and Analytical Geometry.
English: Must have a full understanding of Error-Checking, Sentence Structuring, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, grammar and much more.

  • Make sure to go through the syllabus and pattern for the exam thoroughly before starting your preparations.
