PDPU Entrance Test for BA BBA Exam Pattern, Details and Previous Year Papers
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University is acknowledged by NAAC with grade A for outstanding CGPA of 3.39 out of 4.00 and it also happens to be the first university in all of Gujarat Granted with Graded Autonomy by UGC. PDPU conducts the Entrance test on an annual basis for BA BBA and other undergraduate programs in the month of July, which is followed by counseling in the latter part of the month. In the meantime interested students can apply for the same; the application process is open in the online mode on the college website.
Furthermore, after the Entrance Test for BA (Hons), BBA (Hons), B Com (Hons) and B Sc (Hons), a merit list will be created on the basis of exam performance to fill 280 seats for B.B.A./ B.A.(Hons.), 120 seats for B. Com (Hons.) and 60 seats for B.Sc. (Hons.). Students opting for BBA / BA /B. Com courses will be tested on similar parameters through a written aptitude test containing 100 MCQs that are supposed to be attempted under the time limit of 90 minutes. There will an additional section for essay writing that will carry 25 marks. The declaration of results will happen in July. PDPU Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must have passed any of the following qualifying examinations; with English as one of
the subjects:
• The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education, including Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
• Intermediate Science or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
• Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy.
• General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level with minimum passes of 2/3 subjects.
• High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University
• International Baccalaureate Diploma Program with the minimum passes of 6 subjects (3HL and 3SL) with 24 points.
• Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum five subjects.
• H.S.C. Vocational Examination

Selection Procedure
Written Test and Personal Interview:
Merit for admissions will be based on the total marks obtained in the entrance exam. The candidate has to appear for all the three sections - Written Test: comprising of Aptitude test + creative writing, and Personal Interview to qualify for the Merit List.
Aptitude Test will have 100 MCQs (90 minutes)
Test sections: Total marks: 50 Mark
Creative Essay (30 minutes)
Test Sections: Total marks: 25 Mark
Personal Interview for 25 Marks
There will be no negative marking. An essay can be written in English, Hindi or Gujarati; as well as in prose or in poetry.
