TISS NET Exam Pattern, Details and Insights



TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) is conducting NET (National Entrance Test) which is also known as TISSNET exam. This exam is conducted for all the Master's Degree in TISS campus at various states, i.e., Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati, etc. The interested candidates can fill the application form till Dec 03, 2019. The exam will be conducted on 04 January, 2020. The selection of candidates will depend upon the written entrance exam and the personal interview after the clearance of the entrance exam. The eligibility criteria are as follows: the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution. The exam will have three sections- General Awareness, English Proficiency, and Math & Logical Reasoning for 100 marks having a time duration of 100 minutes (1 hour 40 minutes).

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
  • The candidate must have passed in all the subjects through all the 3 years from first to sixth semester.

Preparation tips for TISSNET: For Written Test

  • You need to finish two sections of TISS NET within 100 minutes, which means you need speed with accuracy in order to attempt 100 questions in total. The more you practice, the better chances you have of acing this exam.
  • Make mathematics and logical reasoning your strong suit, practice questions to solve them within time to increase efficiency.
  • Remember negative marking is not a factor here. Therefore, try to attempt all the questions.
