Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is taken jointly by IICs & 7 other IITs on behalf of the National coordination board. GATE is an online entrance exam for those candidates who wish to qualify for M.E., M.tech & Ph.D. course in engineering. Candidate must hold a bachelors degree in B.tech/B.E./ B.pharma, Science, B.sc research from recognized University. In GATE examination, candidates can apply for only one of the 23 papers. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. The questions are objective type. The question asked in GATE exam are based on conceptual clarity based on verbal & numerical ability. The verbal section asked questions from English Grammer, Verbal analogies, sentence completion. There are total 65 questions in the exam. The total marks allotted will be 100 marks.
