HSSC Exam Pattern, Details and Insights



HSSC (Haryana Staff Selection Commission) Exam is conducted by the Haryana Government. HSSC has released 7110 vacancies for various posts, like, Constable, Sub-Inspector, etc. The selection process consists of a Knowledge Test, Physical Test, and Personal Interview. The Knowledge Test will be of 80 marks having 100 questions and a duration of 90 minutes and has 10 sections- General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Other relevant fields/trades, and Computer. The physical test has different criterias for male, female and ex-serviceman. To Prepare well, candidates are advised to attempt HSSC Exam previous year question papers.

Preparation tips for HSSC: For Knowledge Test

  • You need to finish three sections of the HSSC Offline Exam within 90 minutes, which means you need speed with accuracy in order to attempt 100 questions in total. The more you practice, the better chances you have of acing this exam.
  • Make mathematics and reasoning your strong subjects, practice questions to solve them within time to increase efficiency. You should lay emphasis not on mugging up the formulas but instead try understanding the concepts, so, you can modify the formulas according to the question requirement.
  • Remember negative marking is not a factor here. Therefore, try to attempt all the questions.
  • Manage your time properly; give an appropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
