SSC CPO SI Exam Pattern

Staff Selection Commission conducts an exam to recruit the Sub-inspectors/ Assistant sub-inspectors every year in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces. This Central Police Organisation (CPO) Exam is an online computer-based exam. The language of this examination will be bilingual (Hindi and English Languages). • Paper I (200 MCQs from Four Sections)

  • Paper-II (200 MCQs from the English Language)

The Staff Selection Commission reserves the right to alter the exam pattern and schedule for the CPO SI Examination. The SSC is one of the largest exam organisers (exam conducting body) in India. It recruits the candidates for various government jobs across the country and sets the exam pattern, marking procedure and syllabus of the CPO SI Exam.

From the above, it is clear that SSC is responsible for organising the examination. The exam will be held from 23 November to 26 November 2020 for Paper I and on 1 March 2021 for Paper-II (SSC CPO SI Important Dates). There will be 5 Stages in the SSC CPO SI Exam, and the candidates have to qualify them in the below sequence to get selected in CPO:

  1. Paper I (Prelims)

  2. Physical Test

  3. Paper-II (Mains)

  4. Medical Examination

  5. Document Verification

The candidates should have a proper understanding of the CPO SI Exam Pattern, Marking Procedure and Syllabus because it helps to excel in the exam. The questions from well-prepared topics consume less time and seem easy while queries from others consume more time and seem difficult to solve. It indicates that regular practice for the exam matters. Neither CPO SI Exam contains extremely tough questions, nor the syllabus of the exam is hard but limited time and competition make the examination level hard. So it is worth advisable to the candidates to practice CPO SI Mock Tests regularly to strengthen their preparation.

The aspirants who have filled the application form of the SSC CPO SI Exam will face CPO Exam in five stages as described above. They should check the eligibility criteria of the online CPO Exam to avoid circumstances in the recruitment process. The SSC releases admit cards minimum ten days before for CPO SI Exam on its official website.

The marking procedure in SSC CPO SI Exam is similar in both Paper-II and Paper I. The candidates will gain 1 Mark for every right answer. The negative (-ve) marking is a factor here and there is 1/4 Mark penalty for each incorrect answer. There is no penalty for unattempted questions. Both exams are online computer-based exam and marking two answers simultaneously in a question is not possible.

The candidates will lose 1 Mark for four wrong answers. The negative marking not only prevents to gain marks but also shorten score by penalty. The candidates are suggested to mark the answers with accuracy to lessen the effect of negative marking in SSC CPO Exam.
