PESSAT Exam Pattern, Insights and Details



PESSAT is being conducted by PES University, Bangalore for admissions into Engineering and other UG courses. The PESSAT is one of the most crucial University Level Engineering Entrance Exams held every year across many cities of India. The mode of application for the Exam is Online. The exam is held once in a year in the month of May. The syllabus for PESSAT for engineering will cover 11th and 12th class PCM. The test is divided into 4 sections: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and the time duration for the Exam is 3 hours. However, there is negative marking of 1/4 mark for the each wrong answer. All the students who want to pursue their career in engineering discipline can take this test. The B.tech programmes offered by PES University includes: Mechanical, Biotechnology, Civil, Computer science, Electrical and Electronics and many more. Shortlisted candidates of PESSAT will follow the procedure of Counselling process on the basis of their ranks for various B.tech programmes and a short interview will be conducted by PES university for the candidates. To Prepare well, candidates are advised to attempt PESSAT Exam previous year question papers.

PESSAT is the University level Examination conducted by PES University. The examination is conducted once in a year for the admissions of the candidates into different B.tech programmes.There is only one chance to attempt PESSAT Entrance Exam. Engineering is one of the most soughted disciplines of the nation and it is growing with the growth in the Economy. Candidates need to Outperform to secure position in the Merit list.   The examination consist of 4 sections: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English. Physics: It will have Work, Energy & Power, Heat & Thermodynamics, Magneto Statics, and Electrostatics’, Ray Optics, Wave Optics, Atoms, Molecules & Nuclei, Electrons & Protons & more.

Chemistry: It will have Chemical Equilibrium, Atomic Structure, and Chemical Bonding & Molecular Structure, Redox Reactions & Electrochemistry, Surface Chemistry, Nuclear Chemistry, Heavy Metals, Hydrocarbons and more.

Mathematics: It will have Sequences & Series, and Two Dimensional Geometry, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Trigonometry, Probability, Vector Algebra, Measures of Central Tendency & Dispersion and more.

English: It will have Grammar, Sentence Structuring, and Error – Finding, Synonym – Antonym, Vocabulary, Paraphrasing, Active & Passive Voice and more.
