If you’re thinking a career in culinary arts then consider appearing for Symbiosis Entrance Test for admission to B Sc in Culinary Arts or Diploma in Bakery and Patisserie Skills; both of these courses are offered by Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts, Pune. The registration process for B Sc started from 22 January, 2020 to 10 May 2020 and registration for Diploma in Bakery and Patisserie Skills will close on May, 2020. The admission process comprises of six steps; first: Registration for SET, second: payment of institute fee, third: personal interview and writing ability test, forth: creation of merit, fifth: payment of 1st installment, sixth: admission confirmation. This process is common for both of the courses, while application fee/exam fee may vary at the time of online registration.



Online applications will be accepted through the SSCA official web portal and the test dates for BSc and Diploma in Bakery are Postponed. The selection of a candidate for either course will be done in three phases, that is, first the candidate will sit for SET, second is personal interview, if the said candidate qualifies SET and lastly there will be a Written Ability Test.

Educational Qualification:

Candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examinations with at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) Good scores / ranks in any one of the following entrance exams; Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) or National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT)-JEE.

Duration: The duration of the exam will be of 150 minutes.

No. of Questions: 150 Objective type questions.

Syllabus Covered: The Syllabus includes:

  • General English- carries 40 questions

  • Quantitative Aptitude- carries 40 questions

  • General Awareness- carries 40 questions

  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning- carries 30 questions

Marking Scheme: 1 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and no mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
