Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test Pattern, Details and Previous Year Papers



Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has released an Entrance Exam notification for Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test. MAH HM CET(Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test) is conducted for the candidates who aspire to make careers in the Hotel Management field. MAH HM CET offers admission for bachelor's and master's programme in the various colleges/institutions and universities affiliated with the Government of Maharashtra. The exam date for BHMCT is May 10, 2020, and MHMCT is May 16, 2020. It is estimated that the location of the college where students will get admission could be Maharashtra, India. Candidates who have passed 12th from a recognized board in any discipline with aggregate 45% marks are eligible to apply. On the basis of the Written Test, the selection of candidates would be made.

Eligibility of Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test

Educational Qualification:

  • The Eligibility for Applying for MAH HM CET UG course is 12th passed student from a recognized board in any discipline with aggregate 45% marks

Age Limit:

  • The age limit is 18 years and upper age limit is 20 years.

MAH HM CET Exam-Pattern for BHMCT: 

The candidates are required to attempt 100 MCQs within the time duration of 90 minutes. The exam pattern for MAH HM CET for BHMCT is as follows:

  • Type: Written Test (Offline Mode)

  • Duration: 90 minutes.

  • No. of Questions: 100 questions.

  • Syllabus Covered: The Syllabus includes Reasoning, General Awareness, English

    • ​Reasoning: 30 questions

    • General Awareness: 30 questions 

    • English: 40 questions

  • Marking Scheme: 1 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and no mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Tips and Tricks for MAH HM CET:

  • Become smart by attempting questions that you are sure of first, then come to the questions you’re in doubt. But don’t attempt them anyway, remember negative marking is a factor here. Therefore, only attempt a question if you really know the answer to.

  • Studying in a stretch for hours can be tedious and hard and also not so good. Therefore, try to study at several times in regular sessions during a day. This will make learning easy and fun, also you will have enough time to brush up the already studied topics in between intervals.
