    Overview
    ·         NIFT is the National Institute of Fashion Technology and it conducts NIFTEE for candidate who want to secure admission in NIFT
    ·         Intro
    ·         NIFT provides Bachelors as well as Masters in fashion technology and design.
    ·         A candidate appearing in NIFTEE has to give two exams which are NIFT-CAT and NIFT-GAT and also has to appear in group discussion or personal interview.
    ·         These are the creative ability test and general ability test.
    Eligibility
    ·         Maximum Age is 23 years. Upper age limit relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to categories; Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/ PWD.
    ·          A candidate must have passed 12th exam from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.
    ·         For foreign candidates he/she must have cleared their 10+2 equivalent from a recognized Public School/Board/University.
    ·         A candidate must have a pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects
    Exam Pattern
    ·         Candidates who want to pursue bachelor’s and master’s in design have to give both NIFT-CAT and NIFT-GAT.
    ·         Candidates who want to pursue bachelor’s and master’s in Fashion technology have to give NIFT-GAT and after clearing the exam they have to appear for a group discussion or personal interview.
    ·         NIFT-CAT is an offline test.
    ·         The duration of the CAT for Design is 180 minutes.
    ·         The NIFT-CAT for Design has 3 drawing questions of 100 marks which judges a candidate’s Intuitive Ability, Power of observation in Concept Development, Design Ability.
    ·          The NIFT-GAT for Design is a 120 minutes long exam with a total of 100 MCQ questions and 1 mark is rewarded for correct answer.
    ·         The NIFT-GAT for fashion technology is offline paper with 150 MCQ question and a total time of 180 minutes is allotted. One mark is rewarded for correct answer.
    ·         There is no negative marking in NIFT-CAT and NIFT-GAT
    Tips and tricks
    Time Management is the key to success so plan your strategy accordingly.
    Save 15 minutes to go through your answer sheet again in order to avoid human error and check the OMR sheet.
     Your Examination Pouch must have HB and clutch pencils. Use good quality colour pencil.
    Always write the caption at the end so that your idea stays with you and no one can copy it.
    Avoid the use of eraser now and then
