  • CAT stands for Common Admission Test.br /It is conducted by Tata Consultancy Services.br /CAT exams are affiliated with Indian Institutes of Management which uses the scores of the examination for their business schools.br /Many esteemed Universities and institutions like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) use the CAT scores to enroll students in their business programs.br /CAT is a computer-based test that contains both subjective and objectives questions. It is a 180-minute test having 3 sub-sections.br /These are:br /(a) Quantitative Abilitybr /(b) Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)br /(c) Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)br /CAT exams have a total of 100 questions which are divided as follows:br /(a) Quantitative Ability - 34 questionsbr /(b) VARC - 34 questionsbr /(c) DILR - 32 questionsbr /The marking scheme for objective questions are as follows:br /positive 3 marks for a correct answer and negative 1 mark for wrong answers.
