UPPCL Technician (Electrical): Exam Pattern, Marking Scheme and Syllabus
Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) is an examination to hire junior candidates for the post of Accounts Officer, Assistant Accountant and Technician Grade II (Electrical). UPPCL is a government body which manages and provides electricity to every citizen in the state in a cost-efficient manner. UPPCL JE is an online examination for hiring junior electrical engineers. The job is to check meters, making estimates and plans, supervise labor work and other relevant. The exam conducted in two sections: a computer-based test and interview. The computer-based test has two sections which test computer knowledge, general Hindi, English, engineering and logical reasoning of a candidate, whereas the interview round tests the personal interests and background of the candidates. The exam is of 200 questions where the time duration is of 180 minutes. To prepare well, candidates are advised to attempt UPPCL JE Test previous year question papers.

The candidates who have filled UPPCL Technician (Electrical) application form on the official website will face an objective exam containing multiple-choice questions. The candidates are advised to read the UPPCL Technician (Electrical) eligibility criteria carefully to avoid circumstances in exam incidents. The UPPCL will issue the admit cards to the candidates for the written examination. The admit cards will be available before 15 days of the examination on the official website of the organisation. The UPPCL Exam is expected to be held in the second week of August 2020 (Important Dates).
The selection of the candidates will be done through the following two stages.
1. Online Computer Based Exam
2. Interview
UPPCL sets the exam pattern and syllabus to recruit the candidates for the post of Technician (Electrical). The exam will be conducted in an online medium and the test will be a computer-based test. The selection will be based on the final merit and it will be prepared by the marks of the second part of the exam. The candidates should take mock tests to strengthen their preparation and cover all the important concepts for the UPPCL Exam.
The exam will consist of two parts. The parts of the examination are given below.
Part 1. Computer Knowledge
Part 2. Remaining 4 Sections of the Exam
There will be 50 MCQs asked in this part and candidates are required to score minimum 20 marks from this section. The marks of this section will not be calculated in the final merit of this exam. The candidates are required to only qualify this part. The MCQs will be based on the syllabus of “CCC”. The candidates are suggested to attempt computer knowledge part before part second because gaining pass marks in computer knowledge is mandatory.

The marking process for UPPCL Technician (Electrical) Exam in each section is the same. The candidates will get 1 Mark for each right answer. The negative marking is a factor here and there will be 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer. The UPPCL has not set any mark for unattempted question.
It is advisable to the UPPCL Technician (Electrical) Candidates to attempt the questions with accuracy in appropriate time limit. The negative marking affects the candidate's score negatively. So the candidates should mark the right answer carefully. It is a computer-based online exam and marking two answers simultaneously in a question is not possible.
