I want to know the topics to be studied to clear GATE CE? What is the expected cut off for general category?

  • Hi You can prepare for GATE civil by following the steps mentioned below: 1- Know the complete syllabus of GATE for Civil Engineering. 2- Divide the syllabus according to these three parameters - topics you know, topics you know but are not confident about, topic you don’t know. 3- Start with the topics you already know. Revise them well. 4- Move to topics you know but not confident about. Prepare them that well that you don’t have to return to them again. 5- Now practice the topics you do not know at all. Start with the theory part to make your foundation strong and then move to numericals. 6- Study regularly- You will have to study regularly to not lose the grip. 7-Revise- You should revise your syllabus within an interval of every 15 days. You can do this by practising GATE sample papers. You will also be able to analyse your weak areas this way and improve them timely

  • for general category student you can say under 1500 score is secured. and to get best result just look at the syllabus n time that you have from now. ask yourself about strength and weakness. start preparing with proper planning like starting with em and som will help in fm sa rcc n all. first learn the concept thoroughly then memorize it and make notes of it. solve some good number of previous years questions and after that go for test series or any mock test. analyze your strength n weakness on it and make note as whether you are making mistake in getting concept itself or in the application of concept or in mathematical manner. any further queries are welcomed.   • Make a proper schedule for your studies and according to that do the work Practise as much you can do .Make a formula notebook and note all formulas of your course..Take a test series and go by each and every test and evaluate your tests at regular intervel.
