What do you mean by GATE? Is it an online exam?

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an online exam that examines mainly the overall understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering & science. It is a national level examination. 
Eligibility
Candidate must hold 75% in 10th and 12th grade.
Candidate must be from Science stream.
Exam Pattern
GATE Computer Science examination is of 10 sections. It consists of 65 questions for the duration of 3 hours. The questions are objective type but with 1/3rd negative marking.
