how many 2-to-1 mux is required to generate 2 input and gate and 2 input x-or gate

please ans with explaination

  • Yes it is required to generate 2: 1 muxes and the D variable is used as a residual variable.

    2X1 Mux for 2 input AND gate, will be only 1..
    As For inputs,
    00
    01
    10
    11
    for first 2, keep the selector line to 0 position, and for other 2 inputs, keep the selector line to 1 position, it will act as AND gate..  

    and for XOR gate also 1, 2X1 mux is required..
