BSSC Stenographer Recruitment has four stages for the eligible candidates to get recruited. A total of 300+ vacancies are expected to be filled. The candidates have to go through a proper BSSC Stenographer Selection process:

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Eligibility Criteria is:
1. Age Limit:
The criteria for age is different for the male and female candidates, the age limit is:
Male candidates: 18 - 37 years
Female candidates: 18 - 40 years
The reserved class candidates will have relaxation for the upper age limit, the candidate must check it.
2. Educational Qualifications:
The candidate must have passed HSC/ Class 12th examination or equivalent from a government recognized board/ institute.
The candidate must have proficiency in typing and dictation to be eligible for the Stenographer post.
3. Nationality:
The candidates have to pay the fee for the recruitment application form during the submission of the form in the online mode only. The offline payment won’t be accepted, the amount is mentioned here:
General/ OBC Candidates: Rs. 600
SC/ ST/ PwD Candidates belonging to Bihar: Rs. 150
The candidates have to apply on the official site of Bihar Staff Selection Commission and click the direct Recruitment Link for BSSC Stenographer when it becomes live.
The candidate has to register themselves with the mobile number and email ID, note down the registration number and password for future use.
The candidate has to enter personal information, contact information and educational qualifications.
Upload the requisite documents, photograph and signature in JPG/ JPEG Format within the given dimensions and submit the form.
Pay the application fee and finally submit the application form.
Keep a copy of the filled application form for future use.
The admit card will be available once the date of the exam will be released. The candidate has to enter the registration number and Date of Birth.
The candidate has to download the admit card of the BSSC Stenographer only from the official website.

The candidate's score won't be deducted for any mark if they leave the question unattempted.
The shortlisted candidates have to write the Hindi Dictation of 80 words in a Minute, the time frame provided for the same is 4 minutes.
The candidate will have the Dictation Typing of 20 minutes.
The candidate must have to type in the Hindi Language at a speed of 30 WPM, the test will be for 10 minutes.
The candidate has to qualify for the examination with less than a 1.5% mistake percentage.
