Quantity of milk : 4/5*60= 48 Quantity of water:1/5*60= 12 Let 'x' be the letter of water to be added to the mixture. = (12+x) 48/(12+x) =3/1 3(12+x) = 48 36+3x. = 48 3x= 48-36 x =12/3 x= 4 4 litres of water is added to the mixture
