RRB Assistant exams are in 2 phases – Prelims, Mains and Interview. Around 9456 vacancies will be filled up through this by 20 participating banks in 2017-18. Depending upon the number of vacancies and performance of the candidates in Prelims in October 2017, a shortlist will be announced for the Main Examination in November 2017. The exam was on 16th, 17th, 23rd & 24th September 2017 across various cities in India. There were 4 shifts i.e 8 AM, 10:15 AM, 12:30 PM & 2:45 PM. The IBPS RRB 2016 Exam is now conducted online through various exam centers across India. The exam has 3 sections – English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude carrying 30, 35 and 35 questions respectively of 1 Mark each. There will be negative marking for every wrong answers in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question. Candidates need to attempt all the sections and qualify in all the three sections by clearing the aggregate and sectional cutoff scores.
