Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is the independent body that conducts/controls the recruitment of banking personnel for the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) all over India every year. Aspirants who are looking for a stable career in rural banking in India can participate in IBPS Recruitment for various posts under Group A & B; Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”- Office Assistant (Multipurpose). The recruitment processes for the aforementioned posts will be conducted in two phases, that is, “IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 and Office Assistant” ;

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Eligibility Criteria

 

The IBPS RRB OFFICER SCALE 1 Eligibility Criteria is:

1. Nationality:

  • The applicant eligible for IBPS RRB OFFICER SCALE 1 Test can be of Indian Nationality, Citizen of Nepal, Citizen of Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, only if they come intending to stay in India

  • People born in India but migrated to Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries.

2. Educational Qualifications:

  • The Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The candidate who has opted Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy in the Bachelors will be given preference over other candidates.

  • The candidate must have proficiency in the local language and know about working on computers.

3. Age Limit:

The Officer Scale I post in Rural Banks must be within the age limit of 18 – 30 years of age. The candidates applying for this post should have born after July 3, 1988, and before June 30, 1999 (both dates are inclusive in the age criteria). There is a provision of relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

 

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Application Form Filling

  • The applicants have to register on the official website of IBPS (ibps. in) within the registration period.

  • The applicants have to Register themselves and enter personal information such as Name, Contact number, Email-ID, Password.

  • The login credentials will be sent on the verified email-ID and contact number.

  • The candidate must log in to the registration portal and enter the mandatory information such as Name, DOB, Gender, Category, Parents' name, nationality, and address.

  • The candidate has to upload the scanned photograph (passport size) and signature.

    • The photograph should be 200*230 pixels in dimension, and the size of the photo file should be between 20 KB – 50 KB.

    • The signature to be uploaded is 149 * 60 Pixels; the size should not exceed 20 KB and keep it 10 KB.

  • The academic qualifications are required to be entered at the very next step.

  • The candidate has to provide the experience details (if any) in the given tabs.

  • The candidate should upload the left thumb impression taken on the white paper with Blue/Black Ink. The format prescribed is JPG/JPEG, and the dimensions should be 240*240 Pixels that are 3cm * 3cm. The preferred size is 20 KB – 50 KB.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Prelims Marking Scheme

 

The marking scheme of the IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Prelims exam is the same as per the previous year's papers. Each question of any subject contains 1 Mark. The negative marking is an important factor because it prevents gaining marks and deducts the score by penalty of negative marks. It is a computer-based test, and marking two answers simultaneously to a question is not possible.

On every four incorrect answers, the candidates lose 1 Mark or the marks of one right answer. The candidates should focus on the accuracy of answers to score good marks in the exam.

IBPS RRB Officer I Prelims Exam Analysis

The previous year IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Prelims Exam was conducted on August 04, 2020; the exam was conducted in 4 shifts. The level of difficulty for the examination was easy to moderate for every single shift the exam conducted.
