Around 4733 vacancies will be filled up in 2017. The time duration of SSC CGL Tier I has been changed from 75 minutes to 60 minutes. This reduction in the time duration indicates that this year clearing SSC CGL Tier 1 will not be a cakewalk for everyone. The exam consists of 4 sections – General & Intelligence Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language carrying 25 questions in each section which is of 50 marks. It is a computer based online test of 200 marks in 60 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer. There will be no sectional cut off. CGL Exam Selected Candidates are Grade “B” and Grade “C” Officers and have a high social and government Powers. For all aspirants preparing for the exam, it is extremely important to understand the competition they are facing, because ultimately they have to outshine others and grab the spot. Approx. 15.46 lakhs candidates will appear for the SSC CGL Tier-1 examination 2017-18. That’s nearly 25% more aspirants than in 2016. Thus the competition is huge and aspirants will have to prepare and perform better than their own expectations.
