SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination has moved to online mode for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Papers. But, the most significant change is in Tier 1 Exam Pattern. Here is what SSC CGL New Exam Pattern is for the Recruitment Session 2016-17.
According to the new SSC CGL NEW EXAM pattern, Mode of examination is kept to be Computer Based.
There are three sections in that-
a.       General Intelligence & Reasoning has 25 questions having 50 marks total,
b.      General Awareness has 25 questions having 50 marks total,
c.       Quantitative Aptitude has 25 questions having 50 marks total and,
d.      English Comprehension has 25 questions having 50 marks total.
Total time allotted is 75 minutes.
*For VH and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy, time is allotted to be 100 minutes.
The Revised Scheme of Examination for SSC CGLE Tier 1 dictates the following
SSC CGL Tier 1: Changes in Exam Pattern
·         Instead of 200 Questions, there will be 100 Questions in SSC CGLE Tier 1, with each question carrying 2 marks.
·         The Negative Marking will be 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer.
·         The total time to solve SSC CGL Tier 1 is 1 Hour 15 Minutes i.e. 75 Minutes.
·         As informed earlier, the exam will be conducted online.
