SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Recruitment Exam is conducted to recruit suitable candidates for the typing work at various government departments. The candidates will be paid according to Pay Band 2 in the Pay Matrix (9300-34800). The candidates will be provided all the perks and allowances such as Travel Allowance, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and much more.

Stenographer ‘C’ and ‘D’ Job Profile:
The candidates recruited under two grades ‘C’ and ‘D’ for the Stenographer post by Staff Selection Commission. The candidates recruited for Grade C Post will have the opportunity to work in the Central Government Department/Ministry in Delhi.
Grade D candidates will be recruited for Group X and Group Y; Group X Stenographers will work under Central Government Departments in Delhi; Group Y Stenographers will work under Central Government Departments all over India.
Stenographers have a specific job role designated for their posts:
1. Speech Writing
2. Press Conference Briefing (Press Release, speeches and conferences briefings)
3. Assisting the Government Ministers and Employees
4. Conveying the Government related issues, statements to the Public Relation Officers
SSC Stenographer Promotions:
The candidates who have been recruited as the Stenographers have the higher secondary qualification, SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria; but there are extensive chances of getting promoted and grow the standard.
The promotions of the post are dependent on the service term that the candidate serve.
