GCET Exam Eligibility Criteria, Previous Year Question Papers Download
The official notification for GCET 2020 has been released. Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa conducts Goa Common Entrance Test to offer admissions to the aspiring candidates into various undergraduate courses. The application process for the same will began in March 2020. The exam is to be conducted on 5th May 2020 (Physics and Chemistry), and 6th May 2020 (Mathematics). The exam will be of 225 marks and will be conducted for 120 minutes. GCET 2020 will comprise three sections, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

- Educational qualification
- Aspirants who have appeared or will be appearing in HSSC or equivalent exam are eligible to apply for the exam.
- Must have scored 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects along with Biology/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science as additional subjects.

- Indian nationals, Non-resident Indians with an Indian passport, and OCI/PIO cardholders can apply.

Exam Pattern of GCET Exam:
- The exam will be conducted in offline mode, for a time duration of 120 minutes.
- There will be 75 objective type questions for 225 marks.

- For each correct answer, the candidate will be rewarded with 1 mark each.
- There is no negative marking in this exam.

Chemistry:
Solid state, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles And Processes Of Isolation Of Elements, P-Block Elements, d And f Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life.
Physics:
Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems.
Mathematics:
Relations and Functions, Algebra, Calculus, Vectors and Three-Dimensional Geometry, Linear Programming, and Probability.
