The Joint Entrance Examination- Main or JEE-Main is an all India Entrance Examination conducted by CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education) for admission in different Undergraduate Engineering and Architecture Courses throughout India. The JEE-Main score is the criteria for admission in JEE-Advanced. The final combined score of JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced enables a student to be eligible for admission in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and National Institute of Technology (NIT). The Examination acts as a bridge to admission in 31 NITs, 20 IIIT and other colleges throughout the country. The CBSE conducts the JEE-Main examination once every year and students appearing in 12th class are eligible to take part in this examination. JEE offers three attempts to every Student who has Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as their main subject in 12th, with the first attempt while appearing in 12th and the other two in the next two consecutive years. The exam is held in the first week of April and divided into two parts which are Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 is only for admission in B.E./B.Tech conducted in both online and offline mode, whereas Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch/ B.Planning discipline held in offline mode only. Candidates are thus advised to practice mock tests and previous year questions papers to prepare well.

Educational Qualification:
Candidate must have passed with a minimum of 75% of aggregate in 10th and 12th class from Science Stream from a recognized board.
JEE Main: Exam Pattern
Engineering JEE is an exam through which candidates get admissions in NIT, IIT, IIM, and other colleges. There are two papers under JEE- Main.
Paper-1: It is conducted in both online and offline mode. The duration of this exam is 180 minutes with 90 questions to be attempted. The questions are objective type questions. Each section will be given only 60 minutes each.
Paper-2: It is conducted only in the offline mood. The duration of this exam is 180 minutes with 80 objective type questions and 2 drawing questions.
