1. CTET Important Dates

  • The exam is conducted twice in a year

​​CTET Registration Period

  • Application form filling (Registration) was started from 24 January 2020

  • Application form (Registration) was closed on 13 March 2020

  • The last date of application fee submission was 18 March 2020

  • The application form Correction window period: 19 March to 26 March 2020

  • Admit card was going to be released in June 2020 but It is delayed due to COVID-19

  • The exam will be conducted on 31 January 2020

  • Answer key releasing date is to be announced later

  • The result is declared within 6 weeks from the date of examination

  • The certification Dispatch date is not yet decided

2. CTET Selection Process

  • Written Examination
  • Minimum 60% marks required to be qualified
  • The candidates will receive an eligibility certificate valid for 7 years
  • The candidates can apply to private and central government schools for the post of teacher.

3. CTET Eligibility Criteria


Minimum Age is 18 years and there is no maximum age for this exam.
The applicant needs to fulfill the below-mentioned requirements in order to appear for CTET 2020. Please note that the eligibility criteria depends purely on the Class for which the candidate is applying:


(i) Primary Level


Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education. OR
 
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
 

(ii) Upper Primary Level


Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed.

4. CTET Application Form

  • The candidates can apply on the official site only

  • The CBSE invites application form to the candidates for providing the eligibility certificate

  • The CBSE invites application for CTET from the candidates two times a year

  • The CBSE releases notification on the official site @ctet.nic.in to fill the application form

  • This notification contains the information of registration period, required documents, exam date, relevant eligibility conditions, etc

  • The application form filling is started once the application form filling notification releases

  • The candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the exam because the candidature of ineligible candidates will not be acknowledged

CTET Application Fee

  • Gen/OBC: INR 1000 for a paper (INR 1200 for both papers)

  • SC/ST/Other: INR 500 for a paper (INR 600 for both papers)

  •  The application fee (exam fee or registration fee) can be paid via online and offline mode.

  • The offline fee was deposited in the Canara Bank or Syndicate Bank by downloading the E-challan

CTET Application Form Filling Process (Registration Process)

  • The candidates are advised to fill the application form carefully and they should recheck the details filled by them before final submission

  • If any mistake has occurred during the application submission, they can avail the correction window

  • The application fee once submitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

  • The application form will be filled in the below simple steps

    • (a). Basic Information filling in the application form

    • (b). Photo and Signature uploading

    • (c). Application fee submission

    • (d). Print the confirmation page

  • The candidates can apply for both papers

  • The personal information of the candidates is required like educational qualification, communication, category, etc

  • The post, exam center preference, etc also asked on filling the application form

  • Choose preferred language for the exam

  • The candidate's photo and a signature will be required during the application form filling

    • Photo (jpeg format)

    • Signature (jpeg format)

  • The face and eyes should be clearly visible on the photograph

  • The signature should be also clear. It will be matched in the future use

  • The candidates should read instructions carefully before application form filling

  • The candidates should note down the registration number and password for future use

  • They should print out the application form copy in a white blank paper to keep all the information with them for further use

5. CTET Admit Card

  • Candidates can download the admit card from the official site only

  • Admit card will be available to download before the exam

  • The candidates should print the admit card on a white blank paper

  • The text and information printed on the admit card should be clearly visible

  • The candidates are advised to save a copy of the admit card for future use

  • The candidates should have clear information about the exam pattern and marking process before attempting the real exam. They are advised to make a wise strategy to acquire more marks than the cutoff

  • The admit card will be available to download till the exam, once it releases

  • Adress and photograph of identity proof should be matched to the uploaded records

  • They should also carry two passport size photograph matches to the uploaded one

Steps to download CTET Admit card

  • A link on its official site is provided to download the admit cards

  • Fill the credentials like application form number, password, date of birth, etc

  • Mostly these credentials are available on the printed copy of the application form

  • After filling the credentials, they will reach on the admit card

  • Now they can print or download the admit card

  • In case of forgetting the password, they can use the forget password option. The login information will be sent on the registered mobile number or mail

Information in the CTET Admit card

  • Roll Number/ User id and password

  • Name and address of the candidate

  • Registration number of the candidate

  • The venue of the examination center

  • Date and time of the examination

  • Boxes containing space for signature and thumb impression of the candidate

  • A box for the signature of the invigilator

CTET Exam Day Instructions

  • The candidates are advised to follow all the instructions printed on the admit card

  • The instructions printed on the admit card should be clearly readable. Instructions make the candidate aware of attending the exam

  • Original copy and photocopy of a valid identity proof containing photograph and address is required in the examination hall

  • The candidates will be disqualified for misconduct in the examination

  • The candidate must have the same information and signature in each document

  • The exam conducting body will not acknowledge any change in time, date, center of the examination, etc

  • digital devices, earphones, unnecessary objects are not permitted to bring into the exam hall

  • The exam conducting body will handle the situation and co-operate with the candidates in case of administrative or technical issue

The discrepancy in the CTET Admit card

  • The candidates should cross-check the information in the admit card

  • They should make sure that there is no mismatch in the details of the admit card and identity proof

6. CTET Exam Pattern

  • The correct understanding of exam pattern and marking process to answer the questions with a planned strategy directs towards the bright score

  • The CBSE is responsible to set up exam pattern and the marking process

  • The CBSE mention exam pattern and marking scheme on the notification of application form filling

  • The written exam is conducted in two-shift of a day according to the opted paper

  • The exam will be conducted in offline mode

7. CTET Marking Scheme

  • The marking process is similar for both papers

  • 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer

  • No mark will be deducted for the wrong answers

  • There is no negative mark or inclusive mark for unattempted questions

  • The exam will be conducted offline and marking two answers of a question will be considered the wrong answer

  • The candidates are suggested to mark the answers with accuracy

  • The marking process is the same for each section/subject

  • The exam conducting body implements the marking scheme in the exam

  • We should never mark guess based answer

  • Reduce time consumption to answer the questions during the exam

9. Tips and Tricks CTET 
 

  • Maintain Focus: Make a strategy to manage time and stress. Try to complete exam fifteen minutes before so you have enough time to review your answers
