Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the Central Bank of India and the top banking institution that controls the monetary policy of Indian Currency after commencement on 1st April 1935. RBI controls almost all the operations of every financial institution and requires employees every year. The recruitment for RBI takes places for various post according to the vacancies that might be counted in 2000. Earlier, RBI aims to conduct a common exam for these post. Now, the exams conducted every year and the candidate can apply online according to the educational qualification, age limit, eligibility, selection process and considering many more important points. Every exam has different work and position which is to be assigned to the candidate after analyzing them through exam results and a personal interview. Some of the exams are as follows:

Computer Based Exam Personal Interview
RBI Exam 2020 Pattern:

The examination will consist of two phases, viz. - Phase-I & Phase-II followed by an interview.

  1. Phase-I examination will be objective type with MCQs. There are four modules in Phase-I, viz.- General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.
  2. Phase-II examinations will consist of three papers in MCQ pattern (except Paper-I) – viz. Paper-I on English (writing skills); Paper-II – Economic & Social Issues and Paper-III – (optional subjects) – Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics.

Candidates will be required to write all the papers online. Only successful candidates of Phase-I will appear for Phase-II examination on a later date. Based on the results of Phase-II examinations candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Final selection will be through merit lists which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) and Interview.

Duration of Examinations and Distribution of Marks

  1. Phase-I: Objective Type - 2 hours - 200 marks
  2.  Phase-II: Three Papers - 300 marks Paper-I – online- English-( writing skills)- 1½ hours - 100 marks Paper-II – Economic and Social Issues – 1½ hours – 100 marks Paper-III - Optional Paper (Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics) – 1½ hours - 100 marks
  3. Interview: 50 marks.
  4. The Online Examination will be for 200 marks. A candidate must qualify in each part of the Objective test separately. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification

Candidates should secure a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations.
