Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry conducts an entrance exam for its MBBS programmes. JIPMER was established on 1 January 1823. It is a government funded institute. The campus is spread across a larger area having 200 faculty, 350 undergraduates and postgraduates, and 3000 staff. S.Vivekanandam is the Director of JIPMER. The syllabus for the examination is all the topics till class 12th in subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. There are 60 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. However, there are 20 questions in the General Knowledge section.
