AP LAWCET Important dates:

The entrance test is conducted to offer admission to the Law aspirants to 3-year and 5-year Integrated LLB programme. The AP LAWCET score is accepted by many institutions of Andhra Pradesh. The Law entrance test will be conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), aspirants are required to apply through the official website of APSCHE.

• The application forms for AP LAWCET have begun on March 11, 2020.

• AP LAWCET application form can be submitted last on June 15, 2020, without any late fees.

• The last dates with the late fee of Rs. 500 is July 07, 2020.

• The last date to register for AP LAWCET with late fee of Rs. 1000 is July 16, 2020.

• The last date with the late fee of Rs. 2000 is July 25, 2020.

• The AP LAWCET application correction window is available from July 07 – 10, 2020.

• The hall tickets for AP LAWCET can be downloaded from August 02, 2020, onwards.

• AP LAWCET will be conducted on August 06, 2020.

• The provisional answer key will be released on the official website of APSCHE on the next day of examination is August 07, 2020.

• The aspirants can raise the objections on the answer key till August 09, 2020.

• AP LAWCET results will be declared in the month of August.

• The counselling schedule for AP LAWCET will be released once the final merit list is released.

AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria:

As the Law Entrance Test conducted by Sri Krishnadevaraya University is for both 3-year and 5-year LLB programme, the eligibility criteria differ for both the programmes. There is no restriction to the upper age to apply for the AP LAWCET.

1. For the applicants applying for the 5-year Integrated LLB program

• The applicants must have qualified 10+2 examination or equivalent from the state-recognized board with an aggregate of 45% marks applicable for General/OBC Category applicants.

• There is a relaxation in required marks for SC/ST Applicants that is 40% marks to meet eligibility.

• The applicants must have attained 17 years of age to apply for the AP LAWCET.

• The applicants must be an Indian citizen to apply for the entrance test.

​​2. For the applicants applying for 3-Year LLB Program

• The applicants must have qualified Bachelor’s degree examination with an aggregate of 45% marks (General/OBC Category) from the Central or State University.

• There is a relaxation in required marks for SC/ST Applicants that is 40% marks to meet eligibility.

• The applicants must be enrolled into a 3-year Bachelor's degree of any stream, the final year applicants are eligible to apply for the LAWCET.

• The applicants must have attained 21 years of age to apply for the 3-year LLB program.

• The applicants must satisfy the local eligibility criteria that are the applicant must belong to the state, or any parent of the applicant must be a native of Andhra Pradesh to be eligible for the entrance test.

• Other Nation applicants can also apply only after meeting the certain requirements of the university.

AP LAWCET Exam Pattern:

AP LAWCET will be an online (Computer-Based) test that will be for 90 Minutes, 120 MCQs (Multiple-Choice Questions) will be asked for 1 mark, and no negative marking for the incorrect answers in AP LAWCET. The entrance examination will be in English and Telegu Language. The exam will be divided into 3 parts: Part A General Knowledge & Mental Ability, Part B Current Affairs, Part C Legal Aptitude.

Sri Krishnadevaraya University conducts AP LAWCET on the account of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) to offer admission to the Law aspirants to both 3-Year LLB and %-Year Integrated Law Programme in various institutions/colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The aspirants are required to score 35% marks (42 out of 120) to qualify AP LAWCET.

The registration for AP LAWCET has begun since March 11, 2020, and the last date to submit AP LAWCET Application without paying the fee is June 15, 2020, and AP LAWCET applicants with the late fee can be registered till July 25, 2020. The online AP LAWCET Computer-Based test will be conducted on August 06, 2020.

AP LAWCET Syllabus:

The aspirants who are willing to be in the field of Law for future prospects, AP LAWCET is a gateway that can be their career aspect. The aspirants who are seeking admission in 3-year LLB Programme will have the entrance test of the graduation level while the 5-Year Integrated Law programme entrance test will be of 10+2 level. 

The entrance test will have questions from 3 subjects: General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs and Legal Aptitude. 60 questions will be asked from the Legal Aptitude section and 30-30 questions from the other two sections. 1 mark will be awarded for the correct answer and no deductions for the incorrect answer.

Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Constitution, Economy, Indian History, Indian Culture & Heritage, Verbal Series, Non-Verbal Series, Analytical Reasoning, Direction and Distances, Linear Arrangements, Complex Arrangements, Analogies, Classification, Coding & Decoding, Blood Relationships, Symbols and Notations, Alphabet Test, Data Sufficiency Test, Data Interpretation Test, Syllogism, Problems Based on Symmetry, Problems Based on Visual Ability, Ordering & Sequencing, Routes & Networks

2. Current Affairs:

Polity, Economics, Awards and Achievements, Scientific Discoveries and Inventions, Affairs of National Importance, International Events, New Appointments

3. Aptitude for the Study of Law:

Preparation tips for AP LAWCET Exam

• You need to finish 3 sections of the AP LAWCET Exam within 90 minutes, which means you need speed with accuracy in order to attempt 120 questions in total. The more you practice, the better chances you have of acing this exam.

• Remember negative marking is not a factor here. Therefore, try to attempt all questions.

• Manage your time properly; give an appropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
