Lovely Professional University conducts this National Entrance and Scholarship Test to offer admissions to the aspiring candidates into various B.Tech courses as offered by the university. LPU NEST for BTech Exam Pattern:
The LPU BTech admission process will be commenced through the gateway of the LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). The LPU NEST for BTech will be an online test that will be comprised of 75 Multiple-Choice Questions that are required to be solved in the 90 minutes. The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English. Each section will have a weightage of 4 marks and 2 marks that will make it a total of 270 marks.
The applicants have to choose PCME or PCBE at the time of application form filling, the PCM/PCB section will have 60 questions for 240 marks. There will be no deduction for the wrong or the unattempted answers.
The 75 questions will be asked in the online proctored LPUNEST from home. The test will be a scholarship test that will provide scholarships to the meritorious students on the basis of the score. The maximum scholarship is Rs. 44100 per semester that a student will get after scoring in the Category-I Cut off of the LPUNEST.
The Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test will ensure that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there should be no loss to the student’s academic year. The admission procedure has been entirely shifted to the online process. The test from the home facility will safeguard the students from going out and appear for the exam.
The Indian candidates applying for the LPUNEST for BTech must have cleared the 2019 12th standard exam or have appeared for the 12th exam of 2020 with an aggregate of 60% marks from any recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, CISCE or such.
The COVID-19 Pandemic have compelled the admission procedure to be shifted to the online mode, the LPU has provided the online proctored test from the home facility to the applicants who are willing to take admission in LPU.

The candidates must have qualified 10+2 exam with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized board.
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the LPU NEST.
There is a criteria for the 10+2 candidates to apply for the exam, only 2019 and 2020 batch students are considered to be eligible for the exam.
The applicants who have scored 90% or more than it in the 12th standard or JEE Mains Exam have the opportunity of direct admission in the LPU.
For BTech (Biomedical, Food Technology and BioInformatics), the applicants must have biology as the subject in 10+2.
