the time taken in a complete revolution is 365 years and 6 hours. we know a single year have 365 days. then in every year the extra 6 hours of revolution left. in four year the total number of left hour is 24 (6*4=24 hours). so, in every four we get one extra day. this extra day added to the month of february. thats why february becomes of 29 days and the that year become of 366 days and that year is known as leap year.

leap day becoz our earth complete the revolution around sun 365 days and 6 hours then after 4 year i.e.6×4=24 thats one day is complete then the February in 29 days

because earth takes 365 days and 6hours to complete its revolution and 1st,2nd,3rd year the 6hours is not counted in these first 3 year and on fourth year the 6 hours of first year ,second year,third year's 6 hours is counted on fourth year As===== 6hours + 6hours + 6hoursand fourth's year 6hours are also plus together=24hours so 24hours = 1 day so on 4th year365+1day =366days as become leap year. so february becomes 29
