IIFT examination is conducted by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade for admission to its two years Management program in international business. It is one of the most crucial national level MBA entrance tests taken by around 50000 students every year. The post-graduation program can be pursued at the IIFT campus located in- Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. There are 220, 140, and 60 number of approx seats for Delhi, Kolkatta, and Kakinada, respectively. For aspirants interested in doing post-graduation in International Business, it is one of the renowned institutions that offer such a program. The IIFT exam is likely to be held in 20 across cities. It is held once a year by a regulating body/authority called National Testing Agency (NTA).

The IIFT test applicants have to undergo two stages to clear the test and take admission in their selected course. The IIFT Test Selection stages are:

The applicants should be an Indian citizen.
The Foreign Nationals and NRIs are also eligible to apply for the exam.
Educational Qualification
The candidate must have a graduation degree of a minimum of 3 years of duration in any stream from a recognized university.
The candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply for the exam.
Minimum 50% marks in graduation for unreserved category candidate
Minimum 45% marks in graduation for SC/ST and PwD candidates.
No backlog and gap should be there in the candidate’s mark sheet.
For the Foreign Nationals:
The candidates applying from outside India should be the nation's resident for not less than 18 months.
The Foreign candidates have to appear for the GMAT and produce the score to be eligible for admission in IIFT for MBA.
GMAT Score taken before January 01, 2019, are not eligible to apply.
If the candidate is present in India at the IIFT Entrance Exam, he/she has to appear for the entrance.
The candidates who have appeared for any other management entrance test like CAT/XAT/SNAP or any other test will not be considered eligible.
NRI Sponsored candidates and children of NRIs are not eligible for the exam.
Age Limit
The candidates can apply on the official site of the National Testing Agency, IIFT NTA only.
The applicant has to click on Admission 2021 and register himself/herself on the portal with the email-id and mobile number.
The applicant has to provide personal details such as Name, DOB, Gender, Category, Test city, and Test Date.
The applicant must be ready with the scanned recent passport size colored or black/white photograph and upload it to the form.
The photograph's dimensions should be 10 – 200 KB, and the prescribed format is JPG/JPEG.
The candidate has to upload his/her signature on the form within the 4 – 30 KB of size. The format applicable is JPG/JPEG.
The uploaded certificate should be of size between 50 – 300 KB.
The personal information should be accurate as the candidate has to produce authentic certificates to prove the information.
General/ OBC Candidates: Rs. 2500
SC/ST/PwD Candidates: Rs. 1000
Foreign Nationals/NRI Candidates: Rs. 15000 (US $200)
The admit card for the IIFT test will be available from January 11, 2021, onwards. The applicants can download the authentic admit card from the official website.
It is an essential document for the day of the test; the applicant has to carry it along with the valid ID proof.
The candidates should print the admit card on a blank white paper.
The text and information printed on the admit card should be clearly visible.
The candidates are advised to save a copy of the admit card for future use.
The candidates should have clear information about the exam pattern and marking process before attempting the real exam. They are advised to make a wise strategy to acquire more marks than the cutoff.
The admit card will be available to download from the date to till exam.
The exam conducting body that is National Testing Agency NTA is responsible for setting up exam pattern and the marking process.

There is no negative mark or inclusive mark for unattempted questions.
Negative marking not only prevents to gain mark but also shorten score by penalty.
The candidates are suggested to mark the answers with accuracy to lessen the impact of negative marking.

The candidates will get admission to their preferred IIFT Campus that is participating in the entrance test. Once the Postgraduate program(MBA) will be completed, the placement process will begin. The prestigious companies from the world will come for recruitment and pick the talented candidates for their organizations.
For the year 2020, the highest package bagged by the candidate is Rs. 75 Lakh Per Annum. Around 125 companies have participated in the recruitment drive. The lowest package offered was Rs. 18 Lakh per Annum.
How to crack the IIFT Exam: Check Tips and Tricks
Become smart by attempting questions that you are sure of first, then come to the questions you’re in doubt. But don’t attempt them anyway; remember, negative marking is a factor here. Therefore, only attempt a problem if you know the answer to it.
Manage your time correctly; give an appropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
