Exam Pattern for KPSC:
The Karnataka Public Service Commission government officials Examination consist of 2 levels:
1. Preliminary exam
2. Mains Examination and personal Interview
1. KPSC Preliminary Examination:
The Preliminary Examination of the KPSC Civil Services Exam is an objective type paper having multiple choice questions of 100 Marks. The candidates are given questions on the subsequent sections:
Paper I: General Studies & Humanities
Paper II: General Studies, General Science & Technology and General capacity
Total variety of Questions: 100
Total Marks Allotted: 200
Distribution of Questions:
Paper I: GS – 40 questions Humanities – 60 questions
Paper II: GS (General Studies) – 40 questions
General Science & Technology, atmosphere and Ecology – 30 questions
General capacity – 30 questions
Marking Scheme: The candidates are given 2 marks for every question tried by them whereas there'll be no deduction for the incorrect answers tried by them. No negative marking is there.
2.KPSC Main Examination
The Main exam consists of questions on the subsequent eight papers which are as follows:
Paper I: Kannada (150 Marks)
Paper II: English (150 Marks)
Paper III & IV: General Studies (300 Marks)
Paper V, VI, VII & VIII: 1200 Marks (Each paper of 300 Marks)
Total Marks Allotted: 2100
