A good performance in the RRB NTPC Exam emphasizes that acquire more marks than the cutoff. Let's consider that the Stage-I cutoff will go 84 marks. It indicates that we need to answer minimum 84 questions out of 100 with a hundred percent accuracy in the Stage-I.
Is it possible to mark only 84 right answers in the stage-I?
Of course not or rarely possible! It is looking unnatural. A few answers may turn to the wrong answers.
To maintain the score above the cutoff, we need to focus on accuracy and solve more questions to acquire more marks than the cutoff.
It is clear for an assured selection, the candidates need to solve the entire paper approximately. Only it will help to secure them from the cutoff fluctuation and negative marking.
It is absolutely true that there are no equal marks scored from each subject but the variation in these marks is not very large. It mostly goes through average marks.
Let's understand the sectional division of required marks for stage-I through a table:
Sections |
Subjects |
Total Questions |
(Minimum Required Questions) × (1 Mark for Each)= (Minimum Required Marks from Sections) |
Required Marks/ Total Marks |
|

26 Marks |

34 Marks |
34/40 |
Aggregate |
100 Questions |
86 Questions × 1 Mark for Each |
86 Marks |

RRB NTPC Stage-II Test |
