NMAT Exam: Exam Pattern, Insights and Previous Year Papers



This year’s NMAT (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies- Management Aptitude Test) schedule has been released by the Graduate Management Admission Council, which controls and conducts the NMAT exam each year. This national level examination is organized once in a year in the online mode to offer management courses in over 29 institutes in India, 7 colleges in South Africa and 5 colleges in Philippines.



Moreover, GMAC has done its best to make the test taking experience of NMAT as convenient as possible; candidates can clear the NMAT in three attempts, aspirants are given the liberty to start the exam with the section they are most comfortable with, test takers can revise and review their answers after attempting each section, and last but not the least, the test has no criteria of negative marking whatsoever.



Furthermore, interested graduates can also choose the exam date, time and location as per their comfort; candidates can apply online through the NMAT official website. Registration process will start from July 02, 2020 and last till October 3, 2020, candidates will have the chance to re-schedule the test till 14th December, 2020 and the NMAT exam will be organized over a 75 days period starting from 4th October to 17th December, 2020.

Eligibility for NMAT Exam

Age of the candidate:

The is no age limit for this exam.

Educational Qualification:

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Final year candidates can also apply.
  • The candidate with two or more years of work experience will be preferred.
  • The candidates need to pay the fees in the specified time.
  • The candidates need to submit the original documents within the specified time.

 

NMAT Exam: Important Dates

  • NMAT 2020 registration will start from first week of July 2, 2020 till October 3 2020
  • NMAT scheduling will be conducted from first week of July 2020 till third week of October 2020
  • Late registration period starts from first week of October 04, 2020 till second week of October 14, 2020
  • NMAT 2019 Exam dates: First week of October 04, 2020 to Third week of December 17, 2020
  • NMAT result declaration: Third week of January 2021
  • Last date to download NMAT scorecard: Last week of March 31 2021

  • Common Aptitude Test (CAT) is a computer based test.
  • The exam will be of 120 marks.
  • The exam will consist of 120 questions.
  • The candidate can start any section as they wish.
  • The medium of the questions will be English.

    • Quantitative Skills for 48 marks
    • Logical Reasoning for 40 marks
  • Marking scheme: 1 marks will be allotted for each right answer and no mark will be deducted for wrong answer

Preparation tips for NMAT Written Test

  • You need to finish three sections of NMAT within 120 minutes, which means you need speed with accuracy in order to attempt 120 questions in total. The more you practice, the better chances you have of acing this exam.
  • Make Quantitative and Logical Reasoning Sections your strong suit, practise questions to solve them within time to increase efficiency.
  • Remember negative marking is not a factor here. Therefore, try  to attempt all the questions.
