since a, b, c, d and e are consecutive odd numbers;
let b=a+2;
 c=(a+4);
d=(a+6);
e=(a+8);
let the average be=x
x=(a+b+c+d+e)/5;
now by substituting values of b , c, d. e we get
x=(5*a+20)/5;
x=5(a+4)/5
x=(a+4);
