No, I don't think Applied Mechanics isn't the part of Mechanical Engineering. Since, applied mechanics is the base of mechanical engineering. In applied mechanics, we have studied about the outer forces applied on the body. Applied Mechanics gives us the concept like moment of inertia which are used in the several other subjects of mechanical engineering like Strength Of Materials etc. So, Applied Mechanics is purely linked to Mechanical Engineering.
