Generally,Exam pattern for class 11th varies from school to school. There is no fix criteria which all school has to follow. But syllabus is same for all because it is released by CBSE every year.Well,Syllabus also remain same for some years . So you may concerned to your senior for syllabus .As well you can also ask to your senior about the exam pattern which your school follows.Well ,I can tell you the exam pattern for KVS ,initially ,when i was there, then,in starting there was first unit test kind of exam which i gave of 40 marks in somewhere around july. Then after one month second unit test kind of exam happened in august .This criteria is actually not fixed as i already told,it generally varies from school to school . Then after such test i had gone through first term examination, somewhat is september, then after there were two more unit tests in the month of november and january,Then finally in march ,I had my final exams .So,this is all which i faced in my class 11th.
