NDA
· NDA is a national level exam which is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year for candidates who wish to join Armed Forces of India; Army, Navy and Air Force .
· The NDA exam is conducted in 2 stages.Stage 1 is the written test and stage 2 is the interview.
ELIGIBILITY
· Candidates applying for this exam should either be the citizen of NEPAL, BHUTAN, INDIA OR TIBET who came to settle in INDIA before 1st January, 1962.
· The candidates should be unmarried and physically fit in all terms and shouldn’t hve withdrawn himself from the past training he has been into.
· The applicants should have passed 12th from a registered school education belonging to a known university with the subjects PHYSICS & MATHEMATICS respectively. And the students who are currently in 12th can also fill the form of NDA.
EXAM PATTERN
· The NDA exam is conducted in 2 stages. Stage 1 is the written test and stage 2 is the interview.. SSB interview further comprises of 2 stages. Stage 1 is OIR & PPDT .Stage 2 is Interview, Group Tasks, Psychology Test and Conference.
· The written exam is of 900 marks in total .It consists of 2 sections Mathematics and General Knowledge.
SECTION 1 is MATHEMATICS
Total Marks:300
Total Time:2.5 hours
Number Of Questions:120
Correct Answer:+2.5
Incorrect Answer:-0.83
SECTION 2 is GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
Total Marks:600
Total Time:2.5 hours
Number Of Questions:150
Correct Answer:+4
Incorrect Answer:-1.33
This section is further divided into 2 subparts: English comprising of 200 questions and General Knowledge of comprising 400 questions.
TIPS and TRICKS
1)Firstly , Develop a habit of reading newspapers, magazines, novels etc to improve your vocabulary.
2) One must Go thrugh the syllabus and exam pattern thoroughly.
3)Be in touch with the current affairs and events that are making news.
4)Make sure the political and historical scenario of India is on your tips.
5)Refer to 11th and 12th NCERT books for preparations.
6)Study regularly and revise the concepts on regular basis.
