  • try to solve the previous papers and make sure u try all the questions and have a good firm on basic concepts

  • as a 2nd year student focus more on your subjects which are included in gate exam.at this stage focus on learning rather than thinking of cracking gate.you are just at the beginning of the learning stage.enjoy learning and focus on joining gate coachings just after 5th semester best time to start.

  • clear your basics as soon as possible...n don't listen 2 others ..Gate is not tough...I gave xam..start it coz u r in 2 nd year...your favourite subject first...n according to get syllabus ...n mark distribution
