Your project is very important at time of your placement so select it very carefully..choose trending topics such as automation,instrumentation,IOT,robotics. U can go for industrial projects also it helps to gain industrial experience.

If you are in final year then this project will help you to get a core job because lot of companies hire based on your project idea and work. I used to make final year ECE projects so if you have any difficulty don't hesitate to call me (7028499278) choose a project topic which is based on both software as well as hardware. Use current technologies such as IOT , AUTOMATION etc. choose a good development board such as Arduino which easiest in all for programming as well as assembly. You can go for advance boards if needed such as Raspberry pi and beaglebone.

Try to select the trending topics and go through the ieee papers to get the idea. Keep in mind to choose the unique topic because if you get for the project which already had much advancement you may fall into the trap and have to face so many potholes

You have to choose first whether you want to work on software or hardware.For hardware you can go with strongIoT,aurdino/strong,also any industrial projects.For softwarestrong Matlab/strong is a good option.
