• let x kg be the amount of salt... br /cost price = 42x+24*25 br /selling price = 40(x+25) br /profit = 25% br /so br /(SP - CP)/CP = 25% br /br /=> 40x + 1000 - 42x - 600 = .25 br /on solving we get br /x = 20kg
