why pressure is scaler

  • because it doesnt follow triangle rule of addition and specify of direction

  • since pressure is force per unit area and area don't specify any direction, thus for any cylinder for example you can take cross section from any angle but resultant pressure will be same...

  • Because we take only magnitude but not direction it exerts in all directions.
